The program had the participation of representatives of leaders of Thanh Khe District – City Youth Union, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, City Environmental Protection Sub-Department, People’s Committee of Thanh Khe District, People’s Committee of two wards Thanh Khe Dong and Thanh Khe Tay; representatives of companies and organizations: Center for Environment and Community Research (CECR), Da Nang Urban Environment Company, etc. Along with that were a large number of union members, youth and people in the area of Thanh Khe Dong and Thanh Khe Tay wards.
As mentioned in previous articles, the youth project “Communities join hands to protect water sources and improve the landscape of Phu Loc river in Thanh Khe district” has been implemented by Da Nang Youth Union since February, 2023 to show the spirit of pioneering participation in environmental protection of union members, youth and community groups; contribute to creating a clean and green landscape for the Phu Loc river area. This is a key youth project of the city’s youth in 2023, receiving the participation, coordination and support of all levels and sectors, the companionship of experts and especially the support. households of local people.
It is known that in the past time: Union members and people in the district have cleaned and painted beautiful images with the city’s characteristics at the wall along Yen Khe 1 route; building and repairing 150 flower beds, installing trash cans and propaganda boards along both sides of the river; launched and maintained the models “Each household or unit is in charge of a road”, “Fishermen protect the water source of Phu Loc river”,…
Up to now, the youth project “Communities join hands to protect water sources and improve the landscape of Phu Loc river in Thanh Khe district” has been completed and handed over to local authorities and people to maintain and implement, contributing to the treatment of pollution in the river, creating fresh air; at the same time, contributing to the formation of a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle associated with environmental protection here. Besides, Da Nang Youth Union will also organize to review, evaluate and complete the model of Community joining hands to protect water sources to turn this initiative into a standard model to be replicated to other areas in the whole city so as to contribute to building a green-clean-beautiful and environmentally friendly Da Nang landscape, as well as sharing experiences for interested localities.
