Tiếng ViệtThe 24th Mid-Term Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO) served as a forum for scientists, engineers, and experts to share knowledge and discuss solutions for building a sustainable future for the ASEAN region. The conference was organized by the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO) in collaboration with the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) from August 5–8, 2025, in Da Nang City.
Within the framework of the Conference, on August 5, 2025, at the beautiful My Khe Beach in Da Nang City, VUSTA, in collaboration with the Da Nang Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Center for Environment and Community Research (CECR), and the Central Power Corporation, organized an event in response to the Clean Up the World Campaign.
This environmental communication event was a highly meaningful opening activity of the 24th AFEO Conference, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and cooperation among organizations, agencies, friends, and partners across the region for a stable and prosperous ASEAN, and for a green, clean, and beautiful world for all.
At the meeting of the Women Engineers Group within the Conference, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Ly, Chairwoman of the CECR Management Board, delivered a presentation entitled “Female Engineers and Climate Action in Vietnam.” The presentation highlighted the role of female engineers in climate change adaptation in Vietnam, introduced the WAZNET application for documenting women’s contributions to recycling activities, showcased the network of women scientists working to protect the Cu De River, and proposed financial and technical support mechanisms to foster innovative initiatives.
The presentation emphasized that female engineers are not only implementers of solutions but also the “architects” of the future.
