INTERNATIONAL DAY OF FORESTS (March 21)

International Day of Forests, abbreviated as IDF (March 21), is an international day of action adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on November 28, 2012, in accordance with Resolution A/RES/ 67/200.
Since the first International Day of Forests was held on March 21, 2013, this event will be held every year with different themes. This year’s International Day of Forests has the theme “Forests and Sustainable Production and Consumption”.
Forests play a key role in the interaction between the environment and living things. Forests are the green lungs of the earth. This is a biogeographic colony. It includes soil, climate, and forest organisms that make up a unified population. There is a reciprocal relationship. The role of forests is shown in all aspects of our lives from production, economy, society, etc. However, not everyone is properly aware of the role of forests. Therefore, we need to raise awareness about the role of forests in people’s lives to join hands to protect forests and exploit forests sustainably.
