PRODUCTION OF WATER FILTERING SYSTEM USING COFFEE GROUNDS AND COCONUT FIBRE – NGUYEN DU SECONDARY SCHOOL

In January 2023, under the guidance of Mr. Le Tien Thai and Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh, a group of 7G students at Nguyen Du Secondary School (Friends: Nguyen My Linh, Nguyen Ha Linh, Doan Hieu Phuong, Vu Huyen Trang, Nong Nong, No. Gia Bao) came up with the idea and started to manufacture a domestic water filter system using coffee grounds and coconut fibre.

The goal of the initiative is to: Design a water purification system using eco-friendly and life-friendly materials such as coffee grounds, coconut fibre, activated carbon, clay, gravel, and plastic bottles …; At the same time, helping students apply knowledge from school to apply in practice, thereby consciously protecting water resources.

During the implementation of the initiative, the students carried out many useful and interesting activities: Sampling well water samples at people’s houses in Bach Dang ward – Hoan Kiem district to conduct experimental filtration; Testing the results of water quality after filtration at the General Department of Metrology and Quality…

This is an extremely creative initiative, with high practical value and applicability! Hopefully, the water purification system of the students of Nguyen Du Secondary School will continue to receive more suggestions, support and support from the community to improve the initiative and be widely applied in the community. life. Hopefully, the creative spirit to conserve water resources and protect the environment will be more and more spread so that more and more people can join hands to act, contributing to the capital of Hanoi in particular, and for the country of Vietnam. Men in general are increasingly “Green – Clean – Beautiful – and Worth Living”!
