CONTINUING THE TRAINING SERIES TO IMPROVE CAPACITY FOR HOANG LIEN NATIONAL PARK STAFF ON PROPOSAL WRITING AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT FROM FUNDING SOURCES

On July 24-25, 2024, at Hoang Lien National Park, the Center for Environment and Community Research organized a training course on monitoring and evaluation tools and frameworks, introducing the logical framework in project proposals and on budgeting and project financial management. This is an activity under the “Small Grant Program on Conservation and Sustainable Management of ASEAN Heritage Parks, Phase 2 – Vietnam National Component” (abbreviated as the SGP project) funded by the German Reconstruction Bank (KfW) through the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity (ACB).
CECR lecturers and experts shared their knowledge and experience in the process of project development and proposal writing, how to apply the logical framework in the process of writing and explaining project proposals, the meaning of the monitoring and evaluation framework and how to use tools for effective project monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL). In addition to developing technical proposals, the Park’s staff learned and practiced budgeting for the project and project financial management to ensure compliance with the requirements set by the donor. This activity aims to improve the capacity of Hoang Lien National Park staff in writing proposals and managing projects from funding sources, contributing positively to the sustainable development of Hoang Lien National Park and improving the effectiveness of environmental project management.
