COMPLETE THE TRAINING SERIES IN CAPACITY BUILDING FOR HOANG LIEN NATIONAL PARK STAFF IN GRANT PROPOSAL IDENTIFICATION, WRITING AND MANAGEMENT

On September 18, 2024, at Hoang Lien National Park, the Center for Environment and Community Research organized “Training workshop on report writing skills and building relationships with sponsors”. This is an activity under the Small Grants Programme by the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity II “ASEAN Heritage Parks Small Grants”, Phase 2 – Vietnam National Component” (SGP) funded by the German Development Bank (KfW) through the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity (ACB).

Regarding report writing, students learned about creative thinking in writing reports based on Mind map, building report structures and paragraphs, writing meaningful sentences, editing reports before presenting. Additionally, lecturers and experts from the center also guided students in presenting results then gave direct comments in every step of making a report. Regarding building relationships with sponsors, students learned relationship maintenance skills and practiced based on lecturers’ instructions.

The training course helped improve the capacity of Hoang Lien National Park staff in writing reports and building relationships with sponsors, thereby contributing to enhancing the effectiveness of environmental project management in Hoang Lien National Park. At the end of the training series, Hoang Lien National Park staff were provided with full knowledge on building proposals for funding and managing projects from funding sources. This will be a crucial part for Hoang Lien National Park to keep boosting current projects and developing effective projects in the future.
