Tiếng ViệtThe Center for Environment and Community Research (CECR), Bac Ninh Environmental Protection Department and the People’s Committee of Khac Niem ward held an event in support of Water Day 2017 with the slogan “Clean-Green-Nice Bon Xa channel: Improve water quality for safe water” on March 19th, 2017 at Khac Niem ward, Bac Ninh city.
This year’s theme “Why waste water” has emphasized on the fact that waste water is also a resource. In the spirit of Water Day’s theme, People’s Committee of Khac Niem ward, Bac Ninh Environmental Protection Department and CECR participated in several activities in order to address environmental issues that have been taking place at Khac Niem. This event aims to raise awareness of business, households who produce noodles and the entire community; reach the agreement and commitment of stakeholders in planning ways to prevent and recover polluted water in Bon Xa channel; as well as protect the environment in local areas. Thanks to oganizers and more than 200 local people, the event went on successfully.
In the support of Water Day 2017, each of us should actively raise awareness and knowledge by taking specific actions to tackle water crisis.
