Tiếng ViệtOn the morning of March 26, 2021, the Department of Tourism and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment presided over the event “Launching of Environmental Sanitation – Environmental Protection – Water Conservation – A program to attract tourists to Da Nang City”. This event was sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the framework of the project “Collective Actions for Water Conservation”, coordinated by the Center for Environment and Community Research (CECR).
The event aimed to respond to the movement of environmental sanitation, to call on people to protect water sources together, to create a safe, green – clean – beautiful tourist landscape that can attract local and foreign tourists to Da Nang. This was an opportunity to spread the message “Da Nang – environmental city” to the community. At the same time, thereby raising awareness, mobilizing officials, civil servants, and workers in the tourism and environmental resources industry to take part in actions to protect the living environment and conserve water resources, especially at Son Tra peninsula, tourist beaches and other locations in the city. This was also expected to promote the recovery and development of the tourism industry, contributing to the successful implementation of the city’s policy in the “Year of recovery of growth. and promotion of economic development”, and celebrate the Liberation Day of Da Nang City this 29th of March.
This was also an event that held special significance in implementing activities to attract tourists to Da Nang city during holidays and the up-coming summer. The message that the city wanted to convey to tourists is “a clean and beautiful Danang is ready to welcome visitors who want experience interesting things – Amazing Danang”.
The event took place successfully with the participation of leaders and officers from the Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Tourism, Tourism Association, representatives of Son Tra District People’s Committee, tour guides, managers of accommodation facilities, and about 300 people who were members of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
