He holds a doctorate in Development Economics and a master’s degree in Economics from Albert-Ludwigs University, Freiburg im Breisgau, Federal Republic of Germany.
With years of working experience in many countries around the world such as Germany, Philippines, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Dr. Ngo Huy Liem has contributed to many development events as well as poverty reduction work in Vietnam. Dr. Ngo Huy Liem specializes in macroeconomic policy analysis; urban development, rural development and poverty reduction; international migration / import reintegration; financial development (official and informal trust, security mechanism); microfinance and small business development; project planning, monitoring and evaluation; strategic management not-for-profits, non-governmental organizations (NGOs); human resource development. Dr. Liem was also an experienced professor at the University of Geneva, the Asian Institute of Management (Philippines), the Asian Institute of Technology (Vietnam). Currently, he is a member of John C. Maxwell’s Leadership Training and Coaching Team (USA).
