On the morning of September 9, 2022, the Women’s Union of Nam Tu Liem District in collaboration with the Center for Environment and Community Research (CECR) organized a Training of Trainer (TOT) program on iWRc Imprint Framework of the “Advancing Solutions to Plastic Pollution through Inclusive Recycling – ASPPIRe” project. The project is funded by the Ocean Conservancy (OC).

Women play an important role in the entire waste value chain from discharge, classification, collection, and treatment at households, workplaces, and communities. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to deploy and replicate models of women participating in the collection, classification, and recycling of low-value plastic waste at the grassroots level. The Women’s Union encourages women to participate in plastic waste management, especially at the stage of classification and collection.
