On December 23, the Center for Environment and Community Research in collaboration with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Education and Training of Hoan Kiem District held a training program “Promoting water conservation initiatives in schools in Hoan Kiem District” to improve efficiency in the process of building Green Schools on the topic of water at Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary Schools in Hoan Kiem District.

Attending the program were Ms. Trinh Thi Minh Phuong – Deputy Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Hoan Kiem District; Ms. Dang Chinh Thao – Representative of the Department of Education and Training of Hoan Kiem District; Ms. Doan Vu Thao Ly – Deputy Director of the Center for Environment and Community Research; Dr. Ton Quang Cuong – Dean of the Faculty of Education Technology, University of Education, VNU – The main lecturer of the program; and more than 60 teachers from 39 Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary schools in Hoan Kiem District.

Through the program, teachers have strengthened their capacity and understanding of professional content related to water conservation and are provided with methods and tools suitable for each student so that they can appropriately put environmental education content on water conservation in regular and extra-curricular classes. From there, it prompts and motivates students to come up with ideas and initiatives on water conservation, water saving, and water reuse in schools and families.
