Training workshop on identifying donors, funding sources, donor concerns was successfully held at the Hoang Lien National Park Hall on 17/04/2024. 30 staff members of the Hoang Lien National Park were in attendance, marking an important step in the project “Capacity building for Hoang Lien National Park staff in grant proposal identification, writing and management”.

The program, under the sponsorship of the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity (ACB), was held by the Center for Environment and Community Research, an organisation directly under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations.

Commencing the program, Mr. Vu Duc Quyen – Vice Director of the Hoang Lien National Park instructed departments of the Park to engage in the training effectively and pragmatically. Moreover, Mr Quyen expressed his gratitude towards the Center for Environment and Community Research for organising training programs to improve the Park’s officers’ proposal-building and project management capabilities.

The training program received positive feedback from the officers and employees of the Park. The lecturer – Dr.Nguyen Khac Hung presented knowledge and experience of identifying sponsors, learning the sponsors’ standards and concerns thoroughly; and instructed trainees in applying methods to maximise the odds of securing sponsorship supporting the National Park’s specialised tasks.
