World Environment Day is an annual event held on June 5 with the aim of helping the world come together to rekindle inspiration, promote thought and work together to realize practical activities to protect the living environment. This year, World Environment Day chooses the theme “Solutions to Plastic Pollution” to strongly convey the message of building a sustainable lifestyle, in harmony with nature; using natural resources rationally; control and solve plastic waste pollution; towards a greener and cleaner lifestyle; increase recycling and reuse; promote the building of a green economy, circular economy and sustainable development; effectively implement policies against plastic waste…
On this occasion, at “The Program to Launch Action Month for the Environment, Vietnam Sea and Islands Week 2023” organized by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Da Nang city, the Center for Environment and Community Research (CECR) was honored to be awarded the “Da Nang Environment Award 2022″ for its positive contributions to the City’s environmental protection activities. On behalf of CECR, Ms. Doan Vu Thao Ly – Deputy Director of the Center – received certificates of merit and medals of the Program. The Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Da Nang city shows recognition and encouragement for the efforts and meaningful contributions that the Center for Environmental and Community Research has implemented in the city, making an important contribution to help Da Nang effectively implement the project “Building Da Nang – Environmental City” in the period of 2021 – 2030.
