STAKEHOLDER WORKSHOP: COOPERATION IN RESEARCH ON AGRO-WASTE TO DEVELOP A CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN SON LA AND LAO CAI PROVINCES

     In the morning of February 20th, 2023, the Center for Environment and Community Research (CECR) organized the Stakeholder workshop: Cooperation in research on agro-waste (agricultural wastes and by-products) to develop a circular economy in Son La and Lao Cai Provinces.

     Attending the workshop in-person were Dr. Aviandan Taron, Dr. Mansi Tripathi, Dr. Solomie Gebrezgabher (participated online) from the International Water Management Institute (IWMI); Dr. Nguyen Khac Hung – CEO of CECR; Experts from the CECR research team including MSc. Vu Ngoc Dung and Dr. Dao Duc Liem; As well as representatives of the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development and Center for Agricultural Extension and Agricultural Services in Son La and Lao Cai Provinces; Representatives of businessessupporting the research; And experts in the field of circular economy and agro-waste.

     The purpose of the workshop is to report the research results on the co-development of circular economy business models for agro-wastes in Son La and Lao Cai Provinces, and at the same time to connect and share experiences among experts in the field of circular economy and agro-waste management.
