Tiếng ViệtOn October 3, 2022, at the United Nations Building, Hanoi, UN Women in Vietnam collaborated with CECR to organize a workshop on sharing the results of the project “Promoting engagement and leadership of women’s organizations in climate change and disaster risk reduction policy-making process”.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Tove Goldmann – SIDA; Ms. Elisa Fernandez – UN Women; Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Ly – Advisor/Founder of CECR; Mr. Nguyen Khac Hung – CEO of CECR; and more than 20 delegates who are leaders and representatives of CSOs and NGOs in the Network of Pioneering Women to Respond to Climate Change.

The workshop was organized for UN Women and regional SIDA to listen to direct sharing from organizations participating and benefiting from the project, as well as the results that the project has achieved after more than 2 years of implementation. In addition, the workshop was also an opportunity for the Network to discuss the orientations of the next development phase.
Although it ended in March 2022, the project’s achievements have been highly appreciated by sponsors and spread strongly to many provinces and cities across the country.
The project “Promoting engagement and leadership of women’s organizations in climate change and disaster risk reduction policy-making process (POCCA)” took place over 29 months from May November 2019 to March 2022. The POCCA project funded by UN Women and implemented by the Center for Environment and Community Research (CECR) has the objective of increasing the participation of women and women’s organizations, improving management and leadership capacity, and participating meaningfully and influentially in policy-making for climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction.
