To celebrate International Women’s Day 2022 with the theme “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow” chosen by the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women for its 66th meeting in 2022, UN Women, the Center for Environment and Community Research (CECR) and the Network of Women Pioneers in Climate Change held a virtual meeting with the members of the network.
The program was honored to have the participation of H.E. Madam Ann Måwe – Sweden Ambassador in Vietnam, Ms. Elisa Fernandez Saenz – Representative of UN Women, Ms. Vu Thi Bich Hop – Chairman of VNGO-CC Network, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Ly – Chairman of CECR, Mr. Nguyen Khac Hung – CEO of CECR and nearly 30 representatives of active member organizations of the network.

At the meeting, the recommendations of the 66th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women from the Asia-Pacific Regional Consultative Conference were shared by Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Anh – UN Women. After that, there was a lively discussion of members about the opportunities and challenges to develop the network in the future. The meeting created a connection and inspiration with all members. This is an important foundation for the Network to make strides in promoting gender equality and climate change adaptation in Vietnam in the future.
